Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to ensure the highest standards of quality in our food manufacturing processes. You will play a crucial role in maintaining product quality by performing line clearances, equipment swabbing, and conducting quality audits. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will help us deliver premium products to our customers.
Responsibilities
+ Verify line clearance prior to startup and perform equipment swabbing after sanitation.
+ Conduct quality audits on each production line throughout the shift.
+ Document in-line process check results for each production run according to pre-approved specifications.
+ Report any Out of Specification (OOS) or non-conformance issues to Production and relevant personnel.
+ Ensure immediate corrective actions are completed before startup for any non-conformance issues.
+ Label and store non-compliant products in designated areas following the MRB process.
+ Perform periodic quality and GMP audits, particularly focusing on the mix deck for product handling compliance.
+ Audit ingredients staged for manufacturing to ensure no expired materials are used.
+ Conduct temperature audits of ingredients, WIP, and finished products during production.
+ Prepare shift reports for follow-up by the next shift.
+ Perform case count audits on all products.
+ Conduct daily Pre-operational Inspections.
+ Assist in metal detector validations and perform regular in-process metal detector line checks.
+ Ensure operators adhere to metal detector SOPs.
+ Report any food safety risks to the Supervisor.
+ Collect and document samples from raw materials, in-process, and finished products for laboratory testing.
Qualifications
+ Experience in inspection and quality control within food manufacturing.
+ Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
