Job Title: Process Owner
Job Description
We are seeking three part-time Process Owners to support distinct capital equipment projects at our manufacturing site. Each role requires approximately 20 hours per week, with the potential for a full-time position if a candidate qualifies for two projects. While onsite work is preferred, there is flexibility for remote work on a case-by-case basis. The project durations are estimated to be six months, with one project starting immediately.
Responsibilities
+ Support one or more of the following projects: Lift Systems, Acrylic Columns, or Bulk Delivery Systems, depending on expertise.
+ Collaborate with design teams to define user requirements and align system functionality with operational, safety, and compliance needs.
+ Participate in P&ID reviews, HAZOP, and FMEA, providing feedback on usability and accessibility.
+ Support equipment and system testing activities including FAT, SAT, and CQV (IV, OV, IOQ, PQ).
+ Report functional gaps or deviations during testing.
+ Contribute to SOP and Work Instruction development and support hands-on training and knowledge transfer.
+ Monitor system performance, identify deviations, and collaborate on improvements.
+ Ensure GMP/GDP compliance in documentation and support audit and inspection readiness.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
+ 4+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 2+ years with a Master’s degree.
+ Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, and regulatory standards.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical writing.
+ Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing is preferred.
+ Experience with mechanical lifting equipment in biopharma environments.
+ Familiarity with column design and qualification protocols.
+ Knowledge of bulk chemical handling, piping, and delivery systems.
+ Experience with acids, bases, and cleaning/passivation agents.
Work Environment
The role is part of the Operational Services Bulk Value Stream team, including process owners, investigation owners, and training specialists. The team is responsible for updating batch records, managing change controls, and addressing inefficiencies and safety hazards. The group primarily works onsite, focusing on ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and the FDA.

This is a Contract position based out of Bradley, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $54.00/hr.
