    Job Title: Chemical Process EngineerJob Description

     

    We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Process Engineer to lead the development, improvement, and optimization of Plasma Spray and HVOF coating processes. This role is integral to ensuring product quality and compliance with aerospace standards while enhancing manufacturing efficiency.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead the development, improvement, and optimization of Plasma Spray and HVOF coating processes to meet product and quality standards.

    + Support manufacturing teams by resolving process issues and implementing corrective actions.

    + Create and maintain work instructions, process flows, and technical documentation in line with aerospace standards.

    + Ensure all processes comply with OEM specifications and regulatory requirements.

    + Perform root cause analysis for process deviations and quality issues.

    + Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions using lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

    + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, 5S, and related tools.

    + Train and mentor team members on coating processes, equipment use, and safety protocols.

    + Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

    + Work with cross-functional teams (design, quality, production) to integrate coating processes into manufacturing.

    + Communicate process performance, improvements, and challenges to stakeholders.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Materials, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

    + 3–5 years of experience with Plasma Spray and HVOF coating processes, preferably in aerospace.

    + Skilled in creating and managing technical documentation and work instructions.

    + Strong knowledge of thermal spray technologies, materials science, and surface prep techniques.

    + Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for process design and simulation.

    + Familiar with aerospace standards, OEM specs, and regulatory requirements.

    + Proven ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.

    + Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.

    + Knowledge of lean manufacturing and process improvement methods.

    + Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + U.S. Citizenship is required.

    + Experience in MRO environments is a plus.

    + Experience with HVOF processes.

    + Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

    + Understanding of 5S methodologies.

    + Experience in the aerospace industry.

    Work Environment

    The work environment includes both office and maintenance floor settings. The candidate should be open to standing and maneuvering around the facility regularly. Paperwork can be conducted in a quiet office space, but there will be frequent instances requiring engagement on the floor to assist and collaborate with team members.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Miramar, FL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

     

    This is a permanent opportunity including yearly bonus and company shut downs. more details to share.
