Job Title: Embedded EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated Embedded Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing software in multiple programming languages, adhering to coding standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

+ Develop software in C++, C#, Python, Java, assembly language, or other selected languages consistently following coding standards and applicable software development methodologies.

+ Utilize software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers during the software development process.

+ Create and execute designs for medium sets of new functionality as part of a software project.

+ Serve as a technical leader or Lead Software Engineer for derivative software projects.

+ Collaborate and add value through leader participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.

+ Provide reliable solutions to a variety of problems using sound problem-solving techniques.

+ Perform technical root cause analysis and outline corrective actions for given problems.

+ Mentor less experienced software engineers.

+ Estimate the level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, and offer suggestions to improve processes.

+ Work collaboratively and professionally with other associates in cross-functional teams to achieve goals.

+ Apply a sense of urgency, commitment, and focus on the right priorities in developing solutions timely.

+ Review product and/or application information including manuals and brochures for technical accuracy.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.

+ Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

+ 4 to 8 years of experience in software development.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with other programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, and assembly language.

+ Capability to serve as a mentor to less experienced engineers.

+ Ability to be clearable, with opportunities for interim processing.

Work Environment

This position requires on-site work Monday through Friday, 8 hours a day. The role offers exposure to a variety of technologies and provides an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to projects, avoiding the limitations of larger corporations. Candidates will not just be another number, but a vital part of a collaborative team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Herndon, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
