    Job Title: Lab Technician

    Job Description

    Join a dynamic and growing company as a Lab Technician, where you will provide essential support in experimental execution, data collection, and laboratory maintenance.     Responsibilities

    + Assist in conducting experiments under the guidance of higher lab personnel, ensuring accuracy, precision, and adherence to protocols.

    + Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.

    + Collect data, record observations, and compile results from experiments using various laboratory techniques and software.

    + Analyze data, draw insights, and contribute to the interpretation of experimental outcomes.

    + Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.

    + Manage inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies, and assist in maintaining equipment functionality.

    + Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately in laboratory notebooks and reports.

    + Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations summarizing experimental findings.

    + Assist in quality control procedures and compliance with relevant standards, protocols, and safety regulations.

    + Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data and experimental processes.

    + Communicate effectively within the team and with supervisors to provide progress updates and seek guidance.

    Essential Skills

    + Willing to work second shift hours.

    + Familiarity with laboratory equipment, instruments, and relevant software.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, developed through prior lab experience.

    + Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively.

    + Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Team player with a proactive and positive approach to work.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Associates degree or currently enrolled in a Biology, Chemistry, or Science-related field, preferred but not required.

    + Proficiency in wet chemistry, coating, UV cure processes, and quality control.

    + Experience with R&D, CAPA, Quality Assurance, calibration, VOC, HAP, TAP, documentation, SOP, drying oven, spray gun, and spray booth filter.

    + Familiarity with analytical techniques and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

    + Knowledge of wood and wood coatings chemistry.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a Quality Control and R&D lab within a smaller laboratory and facility. The work environment is collaborative, allowing for opportunities to engage in various lab activities. The role offers a great opportunity for personal and professional growth with annual bonuses based on personal and company performance.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
