Summary:
Responsible for:
Performing duties such as setting up, programming, and operating all Haas CNC Mill & Lathes and other machine operations such as turning, facing, boring, sawing, drilling, reaming, tapping, slotting, grooving, milling, grinding. Able to create and set up new programs using Mastercam.
Position Duties:
Essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
+ Follow drawings and work orders, set up and run one or more machine(s) and machining centers to machine forging, castings, and bar stock.
+ Performs duties involving turning, facing, deburring, boring, drilling, milling, spot facing, reaming, tapping, sawing, EDM, threading, slotting, grooving, and grinding, using appropriate controls as required.
+ Uses DNC and other related tools to load CNC up/down machines.
+ Using drawings and measuring instruments ensures proper cuts are being made within required tolerances by using self-quality assurance and verification.
+ Utilizes total quality control concept and procedures (i.e., Q1100) by using appropriate measuring and inspection instruments to ensure parts are within required tolerance.
+ Assists in the training of CNC S/U Operators and Turning Center Operators.
+ Be involved and provide feedback in proving out programs, manufacturing planning and programming to ensure safe and efficient methods of machining.
+ Become involved and provide feedback in tool design and concurrent engineering.
+ Keeps a daily production record.
+ Keeps work area clean and neat. Service or cleaning and operator assigned maintenance to the equipment and work areas may be required.
+ Performs all tasks in a timely, safe and accurate manner to avoid delays in operations. Immediately reports to the management when not making job standards.
+ Able to write a program at the machine also using Mastercam creating programs using 2D prints, Solid models, and designing tooling/ fixturing if needed.
+ Some manual lathe and mill experience would be good.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. 4-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills:
**Language skills:** ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of the organization.
**Mathematical skills:** ability to work with mathematical concepts, such as, statistical inference and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts of intermediate math to practical situations.
**Reasoning ability:** ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

**Pay Details:** $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
