Quality Engineer IV
Schedule: Onsite, First Shift
Overview:
A leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support product and process quality initiatives. This role involves facilitating APQP documentation, leading cross-functional meetings, and driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead weekly staff and prioritization meetings.
+ Facilitate and develop APQP documentation including process FMEAs, control plans, and process flow diagrams.
+ Track and support recommended actions from FMEAs.
+ Independently schedule and lead APQP readiness meetings with engineering teams.
+ Review and develop process capability studies and measurement systems analysis.
+ Create and submit PPAP documentation.
+ Present formal updates to stakeholders.
+ Review and approve sampling procedures and quality data reporting.
+ Supervise programs evaluating precision and accuracy of production and testing equipment.
+ Conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
+ Direct teams in measuring and testing product quality and reliability.
+ Plan and direct activities related to quality standards for processes, materials, and products.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (required).
+ 8–10 years of relevant experience.
+ Proficiency in APQP elements including Process Flow, Control Plan, and PFMEA.
+ Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
+ Prior experience in the automotive industry (preferred).
Soft Skills:
+ Ability to lead cross-functional meetings both in-person and virtually.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Lafayette, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $46.00/hr.
