Olsten is assisting in recruiting for a current 2nd Shift Machine operator position for a well-established company located in Mullins, SC. If you meet the following requirements pleases click on Apply Now.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ **Must have a good work and attendance record.**

+ Must follow safety rules and insure they are being followed.

+ Maximize efficiency of respective pouching line assignment by insuring prompt and timely startup at beginning of shift and re-starts during daily operation (changeovers, breaks/lunch, etc.).

+ Assist line mechanic with various duties including keeping pouch chambers loaded, video-jet code changes, maintaining downtime/retort log worksheets, etc.)

+ Be capable of maintaining consistent output of "plumpable" production when required to manually load portions as part of the two-stage filling operation. Acceptable rate of output is somewhat product-dependent but normally accepted rate of manual loading is considered to be 50-60 portions/min. (22K-25K pouches/8 hr. shifts).

+ Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

+ Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

+ Must be willing to accept and receive frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine operation.

1. **Education and Experience:**

+ High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

1. **Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:**

+ Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.

+ Must be able to read and, use simple math.

1. **Training Requirements:**

+ General Safety Practices and Procedures.

+ GMPS (Good Manufacturing Practices)

+ Pouch Integrity

1. **Physical Demands:**

+ Light to moderate physical effort required.

+ Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.

+ Must be able to push buggies of product weighing up to 600lbs.

+ Must have fast / quick hand speed.

+ Required to stand for long periods of time.

1. **Personal Protective Equipment:**

+ Ear Plugs

+ Safety Equipment as required.

1. **Work Environment:**

+ Work performed in a Plant environment.

+ Exposed to any number of elements (heat, steam and cold).

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.

**Pay Details:** $13.33 per hour
