Machine Operator Assistant - Weekend Shift

Pay: $24.30/Hour

Shift: Fri-Sun 6am-6:30pm

Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a leading corrugated box manufacturer known for its state-of-the-art converting equipment. We are seeking motivated individuals who are safety-conscious, attentive to detail, reliable, and eager to learn and grow within the company.

Responsibilities

+ Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.

+ Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures.

+ Execute position responsibilities pertaining to the assigned work center.

+ Read and follow order specification documents.

+ Consistently work to develop or enhance your skill set.

+ Work effectively with co-workers and establish a team approach to achieve company goals and expectations.

+ Follow all company rules and policies.

+ Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to read and write English.

+ Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new skills within a standard timeline.

+ Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.

+ Ability to perform mentally and physically at a high pace with a sense of urgency.

+ Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.

+ Strong attention to detail.

+ Ability to work overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Mechanically inclined with long-term goals.

+ Ability to ask questions and show curiosity.

+ Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.

+ Ambitious with a desire to move up and learn machines.

Work Environment

Work in a very large facility that can get hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The weekend shift runs from Friday to Sunday, 6 AM to 6:30 PM, where employees work 36 hours but are paid for 40. Occasionally, mandatory overtime may be required on Fridays. The facility houses advanced machines like the 112" Multiflute Corrugator, Flexo Folder Gluers, and others. Dress appropriately to accommodate varying temperatures.

The pay range for this position is $24.30 - $24.30/hr.
