    Job Title: CNC Machinist

    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    + Read blueprints and follow specific instructions and procedures.

    + Organize, prioritize, and plan daily work assignments in a self-directed changing environment.

    + Apply knowledge of shop math.

    + Proficiently use measuring equipment such as height gauges, micrometers, and calipers.

    + Understand metal-cutting applications and machine practices.

    + Handle piece parts ranging in weight from 1 lb. to 25 lbs.

    + Deburr and clean parts using various hand and power tools such as a belt sander or drill press.

    + Inspect parts visually and using various measurement tools such as height gauges and micrometers.

    Essential Skills

    + 3+ years of CNC machining experience with Mazak CNC Machines.

    + 1+ year of CNC setup experience.

    + Experience with Mill and/or Lathe machines.

    + Blueprint reading experience.

    + Proficient in using precision measuring tools: micrometers and calipers.

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + CNC vocational schooling.

    + GD&T experience.

    + Experience with both Lathe and Mill CNC Machines.

    Work Environment

    + Openings available on:

    + **1st Shift** : 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

    + **2nd Shift** : 4:30 pm – 1:00 am

    + Average of **5–10 hours of overtime** per week.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palatine, IL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
