Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Begin your career with a comprehensive Health and Safety training course before stepping onto the production floor. Join a dynamic team at a steel service center where you will play a vital role in handling consumer products across two warehouses. This position requires walking and active engagement for 8-10 hour shifts, with tasks including receiving inventory and moving materials. Candidates will be trained to become forklift or hazmat certified, with a focus on learning and retaining essential information.

Responsibilities

+ Participate in Health and Safety training for initial 1-2 days.

+ Receive and manage inventory efficiently.

+ Move materials and products within the warehouse.

+ Learn and become certified in forklift or hazmat operations.

+ Engage in general production and machine operating tasks.

+ Perform inspection duties to ensure product quality.

Essential Skills

+ General production and machine operating skills.

+ Basic math skills.

+ Ability to read and write English.

+ Proficiency in reading a tape measure.

+ Experience with forklift and hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to learn and retain new information quickly.

+ Willingness to become forklift or hazmat certified.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bozrah, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
