The department of Medical Compliance has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Compliance Associate to work onsite on the UHealth campus. The Compliance Associate assists, enhances, and supports the development and implementation of compliance program(s) within the assigned University area(s). The incumbent conducts professional reviews and internal assessments to aid in monitoring business activities for compliance with applicable rules and regulations. The incumbent contributes to the success of the compliance program(s) by strategizing compliance risk assessment and summarizing and documenting compliance-related reviews.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
+ Ensures compliance record keeping and database systems remain accurate and up to date.
+ Reviews and audits records to ensure compliance with the organization's procedures, policies, and standards.
+ Recommends and participates in decisions/actions involving organization policies and procedures and identifies gaps and areas for improvement.
+ Provides guidance and support with federal regulations and any new requirements as needed.
+ Assists in maintaining an effective compliance education and training program.
+ Ensures operating manuals and procedural documents stay current when regulations change.
+ Responds to inquiries from regulatory agencies and completes required compliance documentation.
+ Generates, organizes, and submits compliance documentation and audit finding reports.
+ Analyzes audit outcomes, conducts assessments and analyzes potential risks, develops risk management strategies, and proactively identifies relevant trends.
+ Provides timely and concise audit feedback to senior managing staff.
+ Maintains current knowledge of changes in national and local regulations affecting the specific program/area.
+ May conduct investigations and resolves routine compliance issues.
+ Promotes compliance, best practices, and solutions while representing the University ethically and professionally.
+ Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
+ Minimum 3 years of relevant experience required
