    Job Title: 1st Grade Stationary Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated 1st Grade Stationary Engineer who holds an active 1st grade stationary engineer license. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing problems, repairing, and performing routine preventative maintenance on equipment. They will ensure the safe and efficient operation of steam boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, and all auxiliary and accessory equipment necessary for the boiler room and total power plant.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment.

    + Perform repairs and routine preventative maintenance.

    + Maintain and update all process documentation.

    + Ensure the safe and efficient operation of steam boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, controls, and all auxiliary and accessory equipment such as safety valves, pressure gauges, pumps, motors, fans, and compressors.

    Essential Skills

    + Active 1st grade stationary engineer license.

    + 3+ years of experience maintaining boilers and chillers.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

    + Ability to handle industrial wiring, blueprint reading, and PLC troubleshooting.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with electrical wiring and conduit bending.

    + Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.

    Work Environment

     

    This position is based in an older manufacturing facility that operates in a dirtier environment due to the age and nature of the machinery. The plant manufactures felt for flooring and supplies other plants. Expect to work swing shifts with production weeks from 6am to 6pm, and non-production weeks from 6am to 2pm. The schedule includes 12-hour shifts every other week, and candidates must be comfortable with this arrangement.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $88400.00 - $88400.00/yr.
