    Job Title: Production Lead

    Job Description

    A leading production company in the manufacturing of grout and concrete is seeking a long-term Production Lead. This role is pivotal in overseeing production activities and ensuring the seamless operation of the manufacturing process.

    Responsibilities

    + Supervise and coordinate production activities, including batching, mixing, measuring, and finishing of concrete products.

    + Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality and minimizing waste.

    + Monitor raw material usage and inventory levels; coordinate with procurement and logistics teams.

    + Operate and oversee the maintenance of production equipment.

    + Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety checks to ensure compliance with company standards.

    + Train and mentor production staff on concrete handling, equipment operation, and quality control procedures.

    + Troubleshoot production issues, including mix inconsistencies, equipment malfunctions, and environmental conditions.

    + Maintain accurate production records, including batch tickets, quality logs, and shift reports.

    + Collaborate with quality control and maintenance teams to ensure product specifications are met.

    + Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce downtime, and improve product consistency.

    + Load, unload, and transport materials and finished products using a forklift.

    + Operate machinery safely and efficiently according to company guidelines.

    + Follow all safety regulations and workplace procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role within a production/manufacturing environment.

    + Proficient in using production software and Microsoft Office Suite.

    + Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and in varying weather conditions.

    + Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must be comfortable being cross-trained within multiple departments.

    + Ability to complete basic math and measuring.

    Work Environment

     

    This role is based in an industrial environment where steel-toed shoes are required. Personal protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, and respiratory masks are provided. The position operates on a 3rd shift schedule, Friday to Sunday from 5 am to 5:30 pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Mirada, CA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
