    Job Title: Mechanical Assembly Technician

    Job Description

    The Mechanical Assembly Technician will troubleshoot and resolve refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and system control problems using brazing, welding, and other skills. The role involves performing manufacturing operations, such as setting up expanders, saws, deburrers, tubes, lathes, and drill presses. The technician will work from blueprints, schematics, or engineering drawings and service, repair, and assemble parts such as chillers. Preventative maintenance in the service cell, including adjustments and maintaining lubrication of tools and equipment, is also required.

    Responsibilities

    + Troubleshoot and resolve refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, and system control issues using brazing and welding.

    + Perform manufacturing operations, including setting up expanders, saws, deburrers, tubes, lathes, and drill presses.

    + Work from blueprints, schematics, or engineering drawings.

    + Service, repair, and assemble parts such as chillers.

    + Conduct preventative maintenance in the service cell, performing adjustments and maintaining lubrication of tools and equipment.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with HVAC installation and service.

    + Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.

    + Assembly experience.

    + Welding and brazing skills.

    + Possess EPA 608 Universal Certification.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with chillers and preventive maintenance.

    + Soldering skills.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Billerica, MA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
