Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Job Description

As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading merchandise from trucks and containers using a fork truck. Your duties will include fulfilling orders by utilizing packing slips and cutting materials to specified lengths. You will operate power tools such as miter saws, drill presses, and battery-operated tools, and ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are inspected and verified. Additionally, you will organize and store merchandise within the warehouse, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks will also be a key part of your role.

Responsibilities

+ Load and unload merchandise from trucks and containers using a fork truck.

+ Fulfill orders utilizing packing slips and cut material to specified lengths.

+ Operate power tools including miter saws, drill presses, and battery-operated tools.

+ Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing shipments.

+ Follow safety regulations and procedures.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in production, general labor, and assembly.

+ Proficiency in inventory, shipping and receiving, and kitting.

+ Skills in picking, RF scanner usage, and order picking.

+ Experience in operating a forklift and general production tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Material handling expertise.

+ Order picking experience.

+ Competence in shipping and receiving tasks.

Work Environment

Experience a fast-paced yet clean smaller shop. Work during the 1st Shift from 8 am to 4:30 pm in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
