Job Title: Flux Core and MIG Welder - Must be open to 1st and 3rd shift | $20-$28/HR

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Flux Core and MIG Welder to join our team in a heavy steel manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will perform welding on heavy gauge carbon steel, read blueprints and weld symbols, and utilize various tools and equipment for fitting and fabrication.

Responsibilities

+ Perform Flux Core and MIG welding on heavy gauge carbon steel.

+ Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.

+ Operate a forklift and overhead crane.

+ Utilize hand and power tools to fit and fabricate products.

+ Use tape measures and other measurement tools for precise work.

+ Lift and adjust materials weighing 50-75 lbs for welds.

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in Flux Core and MIG welding.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.

+ Experience in overhead, flat, and structure welding.

+ Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with welding stainless steel.

+ Capability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.

+ Experience in fitting and fabrication.

Work Environment

Work in a heavy steel manufacturing environment with a mix of new and old equipment. The facility is not well-lit and may be dirty. Shifts are available from 1st shift (6:30am-2:30pm), 2nd shift (2:30pm-10:30pm), to 3rd shift (10:30pm-6:30am). Expect to work around 50 hours a week, 6 days a week, with overtime based on production needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Youngstown, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $23.00/hr.
