    Job Title: Production Supervisor

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor for a direct hire position. You will oversee union and temporary employees while managing all production duties in a metal manufacturing environment. The company specializes in producing expanded and perforated metal, primarily for the automotive and locomotive industries. This role operates in a union setting, although supervisors and managers are not part of the union.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure run time on machines is optimized.

    + Meet productivity rates consistently.

    + Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in a supervisor or manager role.

    + Experience in a metal stamping environment.

    + Proficiency with metal handling and measuring tools.

    + Knowledge of production management and continuous improvement.

    + Understanding of lean manufacturing and process improvement.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + No specific education or certificate requirements.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is loud and requires a high level of safety consciousness due to the handling of heavy and sharp metal materials. The facility is not temperature controlled, leading to warmer conditions in the summer and cooler conditions in the winter. Employees must wear steel-toed boots and clothing that adheres to safety standards, such as jeans or pants without holes and a T-shirt. After 90 days, employees may transition to a permanent union position.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
