Work for Indiana
Begin a fulfilling career with the State of Indiana by joining one of the largest employers in the state, offering a range of opportunities across 60+ agencies. At the state, you'll find competitive compensation, a robust benefits package and a commitment to work-life balance. About the Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA) :
IDOA centrally manages activities relating to state purchasing, vehicle fleet, state travel, real estate leases, property disposition, and the Government Center Campus. We assist in reducing government costs while providing effective solutions and exceptional service to state agencies.
Role Overview:
This position is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in the fields of project management and project risk management in the form of Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) within the Statewide IV&V Services team in the Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA). Within IDOA, IV&V is a process where an independent third party provides an unbiased assessment of procurements, contracts, and contract execution activities, to ensure the product, service, or solution meets requirements (verification) and fulfills user needs (validation). In this manner, the IDOA Statewide IV&V Services team operates as the independent third party to help partner State of Indiana agencies successfully plan, execute, and deliver on their key initiatives. The Information Technology (IT) Project Manager Associate performs a wide range of administrative and project management activities for the Statewide IV&V Services team and other teams within IDOA. It is expected that the IT Project Manager Associate will fully integrate and learn key aspects of the IV&V Program Services area, expand knowledge and experience while shadowing senior level team members, and once appropriately prepared, own the delivery of IV&V services on key initiatives for agencies throughout the State. In addition, the IT Project Manager Associate will manage one or more concurrent, small to medium sized projects in other areas within IDOA. This enables the IT Project Manager Associate to work with multiple IDOA teams to allow for a broader understanding of overall IDOA operations and to drive value and success on internal IDOA projects. There is ample opportunity for career growth with this position.
