Description

-Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment, including grinders, slicers, conveyors, packaging machines, automated/robotic

machinery, etc.

-Identify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and root cause analysis

-Assist in the installation, setup, and calibration of new machinery and equipment. Support upgrades and modifications to existing systems to improve efficiency and safety.

-Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify potential equipment failures

-Maintain accurate maintenance records and complete work orders in a timely manner

-Monitor and maintain industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia-based systems, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

-Troubleshooting and repairing motors up to 480V

-Read and interpret blueprints as needed

-Monitor spare parts inventory and notify supervisors of low stock or special order needs. Assist in organizing and maintaining the maintenance shop and parts storage areas

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.

Minimum 2 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, and refrigeration systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

This is a Permanent position based out of Morris, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.50 - $36.00/hr.
