JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Resin Handler is responsible for the preparation and provision of
correct material to molding machines. The position covers all aspects
of resin and raw material handling including moving/mixing raw
materials, maintaining material environmental controls, processing
regrind, and all associated duties.
II. DUTIES:
• Understand differences in material types.
• Locate and supply correct and sufficient material to presses per work
order and direction
• Clean and correctly set up grinders for runners and nonconforming
parts.
• Tend to grinders as needed. Utilize regrind as allowed by the work
order. Mix quantity of material as instructed by work order.
• Inform supervisor of inventory levels of material.
• Make sure all hoppers are free of material.
• Order material from the warehouse and take to the machines based on
work orders.
• Clean hoppers, dryers, hoses, magnets, and filters on any machine that
is at the end of a run.
• Clean and vacuum around machines.
• Break down empty resin containers and store or discard as directed.
• Correctly set up color mixers.
• Cover for operators when operators are on break.
• Load cardboard trailer.
• Understand, set up, clean, and operate dryers.
• Check on filters and dryers as directed. Report deficiencies to the
Molding Manager.
• Correctly label and return unused material to the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
• Understand, use, and follow all forms and procedures.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, and speak
English. Must be able to interpret documents such as safety
rules and operating and maintenance instructions. Must
understand and be able to comprehend Blue Ridge Industries’
Quality Policy. Must be able to possess basic math skills to
satisfy job duties.
• Environmental Conditions: Must be able to sit or stand for long
periods of time. Individual may be exposed to wet, hot, cold,
and/or humid conditions and must be able to adapt accordingly.
Must adhere to safety regulations at all times.
• Equipment Usage: Desirable to be familiar with injection
molding machines. Must be able to use the overhead hoist
system. Must pass BRI forklift training and be able to operate
forklifts. Must comply with quality and safety regulations
regarding gloves, hairnets, and goggles (glasses).
• Physical Activity: Must be able to walk, talk, stoop, kneel,
crouch, crawl, reach, and use hands to handle or feel objects,
tools or controls. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs
frequently. Must be able to climb and work at heights above 4
feet.
• Vision Requirements: Specific vision abilities required by this
job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $25.00/hr.
