    Job Title: Welding Inspector

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of shop fabrication processes. You will be responsible for performing visual inspections, verifying dimensions, and maintaining thorough documentation in line with our safety policies.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform verification of in-process shop fabrication dimensions based on shop drawings and specifications.

    + Conduct visual weld inspections and document control.

    + Verify conformance of products to shop drawings and contract requirements through dimensional checks with tape measures.

    + Generate inspection records and provide input to the Corporate QA Manager as required.

    + Support and ensure compliance with all company safety policies.

    + Demonstrate an understanding of and concern for maintaining a safe working environment.

    Essential Skills

    + Previous supervisory experience with the ability to lead, direct, and delegate with a hands-on approach.

    + A minimum of 3 years of experience in notable steel fabrication in a QC or structural fitter capacity.

    + Keen attention to detail and strong documentation skills.

    + Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + NDT and CWI certifications desired but not required.

    + Aptitude for reading and understanding drawings and using a calculator for minor calculations.

    + Ability to walk and work in a shop's open-air environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gibsonton, FL.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
