Job Title: Commercial Carpenter
Job Description
We are looking for a carpenter to join our team of commercial contractors. This is a temporary position, with potential for more work depending on project needs. At Aerotek, we are committed to keeping our contracted employees working and will aid in finding a full-time, permanent role.
Responsibilities
+ Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
+ Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.
+ Install structures and fixtures such as drywall, framing, doors, windows, frames, flooring, and trim.
+ Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures.
+ Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and within budget.
+ Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
+ Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Essential Skills
+ 4+ years of experience in commercial construction or residential remodel construction.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods.
+ Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
+ Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
+ Good communication and teamwork skills.
+ Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ OSHA 10 certification.
+ Experience in steel framing and finish carpentry.
+ Reliable transportation.

Work Environment
The work involves 100% commercial projects, including mixed-use commercial spaces, office spaces, gas stations, fast food restaurants, and commercial upfits. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with overtime during the week and occasionally on Saturdays. The role requires the ability to work with basic hand and power tools.

This is a Contract position based out of Schaghticoke, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
