What You’ll Do
• Production Planning & Scheduling
+ Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules across fabrication, assembly, paint, and inspection.
+ Prioritize work orders to meet delivery deadlines and customer expectations.
+ Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure materials are ready when needed.
+ Adjust schedules to respond to changing priorities, equipment downtime, or material delays.
+ Keep team leads and management informed with clear, timely updates.
• Shop Floor Coordination
+ Be hands-on—support workflow, material movement, and troubleshoot bottlenecks directly on the floor.
+ Work closely with supervisors to ensure seamless transitions between departments.
+ Monitor progress and provide real-time job status updates.
+ Help onboard and train new team members.
+ Resolve daily production challenges to keep things moving.
• Quality & Process Control
+ Partner with quality control to ensure products meet high standards.
+ Spot process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
+ Ensure work orders and specs are followed precisely.
+ Support initiatives to improve first-pass yield and reduce defects.
• Inventory & Material Coordination
+ Track raw materials, subassemblies, and components.
+ Communicate with procurement and warehouse teams to resolve shortages.
+ Manage work-in-progress to avoid overproduction or material buildup.
+ Keep accurate records of material usage.
• Safety & Compliance
+ Champion a safe work environment and follow all OSHA regulations.
+ Ensure proper PPE usage and safe handling of tools and materials.
+ Help maintain a clean, organized shop floor.
What You Bring
+ High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Manufacturing or Industrial Management is a plus).
+ 2+ years of experience in production planning or coordination preferred.
+ Solid understanding of manufacturing processes—especially metal fabrication, assembly, and finishing.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
+ Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
+ A hands-on mindset and willingness to work on the shop floor.
+ Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Fairmont, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
• 5 Day Work Week
• Overtime available as the workload demands
