Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our logistics team in South San Francisco. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished products in and out of our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

+ Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.

+ Accurately document and label incoming and outgoing materials.

+ Utilize the ERP system effectively.

+ Prepare and package outgoing shipments, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.

+ Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

+ Maintain organized inventory and storage areas.

+ Collaborate with production and customer service teams to meet shipping deadlines.

+ Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits.

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

+ Troubleshoot shipping issues and resolve discrepancies with vendors or carriers.

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.

+ Familiarity with shipping software and inventory systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, ERP systems).

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

+ Experience in the printing industry is a plus.

+ Scissor lift experience.

+ Flexibility to assist the production team when needed.

Work Environment

You will work in a print shop, utilizing various technologies and equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scissor lifts. The role requires a flexible approach as you may occasionally support the production team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South San Francisco, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
