    Job Title: Mechanic

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles, and collaborate closely with other team members to achieve company goals.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and buses.

    + Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspections, tire rotations, and oil changes.

    + Maintain parts inventory and ensure cleanliness in the shop.

    + Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose vehicle problems and plan repairs.

    + Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks.

    + Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Ground Support Equipment Mechanic, or Wheeled Mechanic.

    + Proficiency in diagnostic testing and automotive repair.

    + Knowledge of working in car dealerships, auto, heavy equipment, diesel mechanics, electrical systems, troubleshooting, power generation equipment repair, transmissions, and engines.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1-2 years of experience working on cars, buses, or trucks.

    + Cummins Engine experience preferred.

    + Must be able to obtain a SIDA Badge for the airport.

    + CDL License is a plus but not required.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in an indoor mechanic shop that experiences varying temperatures, cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The culture is laid back, with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration among colleagues. You will be working with lead mechanics in the shop. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, and the company provides uniforms. The position follows a 1st shift schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Boston, MA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
