    Solar Construction Superintendent

    **Location:** Field-Based – 100% Travel Required

    **Regions:** Upstate NY, Denver, Midwest, and other U.S. locations

     

    Overview

     

    Are you ready to lead the charge in building a sustainable future? We’re looking for a **Solar Construction Superintendent** to oversee on-site operations for community solar projects ranging from **1 to 10 MW** . This is a **field-based role** requiring full-time travel and a valid driver’s license.

     

    You’ll be the boots-on-the-ground leader, managing crews, subcontractors, and logistics to ensure projects are delivered **safely, on time, and within budget** .

    What You’ll Do

    + **Lead daily field operations** and supervise subcontractors and vendors.

    + Partner with the Project Manager to maintain schedules and 2–4 week look-ahead plans.

    + Coordinate delivery and logistics for materials and equipment.

    + Monitor labor productivity and manage costs to stay within budget.

    + Enforce safety protocols and conduct daily safety briefings and hazard analyses.

    + Perform quality inspections and ensure compliance with design specs and QMS.

    + Serve as the on-site liaison for project managers, engineers, inspectors, and stakeholders.

    + Maintain accurate documentation: daily reports, logs, site photos.

    + Participate in meetings to drive progress and resolve issues.

    What You Bring

    + **1–4 years** of solar or general construction experience, with **2–4 years in a supervisory role** .

    + Strong knowledge of **civil, mechanical, and electrical construction** .

    + Familiarity with **PV systems** , racking, and grounding techniques.

    + Ability to read and interpret **blueprints, schematics, and technical specs** .

    + Proficiency in **Procore, PlanGrid** , and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).

    + **OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification** (required).

    Bonus Points

    + Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.

    + First Aid/CPR certification.

    + NABCEP PV Installation Professional Certification.

    + Electrical license.

    Compensation & Perks

    + **Salary:** $85,000–$110,000/year (based on experience)

    + **Pay Frequency:** Weekly

    + **Per Diem:** GSA rates (location-dependent)

    + **Company Vehicle & Gas Card Provided**

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $70.00/hr.
