    Description

    The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on ready-mix concrete trucks, diesel engines, and related heavy equipment. This position plays a key role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and DOT compliant, ensuring operations run smoothly to serve our customers.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, and braking systems.

    • Inspect ready-mix trucks, trailers, and other equipment to ensure proper operation and DOT compliance.

    • Perform preventative maintenance including oil changes, lubrication, filter replacement, and fluid checks.

    • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems (including water systems, mixers, and auxiliary equipment).

    • Maintain accurate service and repair records in accordance with company and DOT requirements.

    • Order and track parts, tools, and supplies as needed.

    • Respond to on-site breakdowns and perform field service repairs when required.

    • Follow all Advanced Concrete safety policies and OSHA standards.

    • Keep work area clean, safe, and organized.

    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Manager

     

    Mechanics will perform repairs out of 3 locations

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications in diesel technology preferred.

    • Minimum of 2 years’ diesel mechanic experience (ready-mix or construction equipment preferred).

    • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.

    • Ability to use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, and power tools effectively.

    • Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain).

    • Ability to lift to 75 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.

    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Waunakee, WI.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $89440.00/yr.
