Job Title: Welder
Job Description
This position involves working as a MIG welder for a manufacturing company located in South Bend. The role requires welding various components for structures, including floors and side panels, as well as working with different beams and channels.
Responsibilities
+ Perform MIG welding on different types of components including floors and side panels.
+ Weld beams (I-beams) and channels.
+ Retrieve materials using an overhead crane.
+ Follow blueprints to fit materials in the correct locations.
+ Execute TAC MIG welds to lock materials in place.
Essential Skills
+ 5 years of experience in MIG welding on steel.
+ Proficiency in TAC welding on steel.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 inch.
+ Own a weld helmet and steel toe shoes.
+ Capability to pass a basic weld test with a BUTT-joint weld.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Possession of welding certifications is beneficial.

Work Environment
Work in a manufacturing facility with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts, with optional work on Fridays. The primary working hours are 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., averaging 40-48 hours per week.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of South Bend, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
