    Job Description

    We are seeking an efficient and detail-oriented Assembler to join our team. This role will involve assembling various components into finished products according to specifications, blueprints, or work orders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Follow safety protocols and procedures, including wearing safety shoes, glasses, and ear protection.

    + Use all tools in a safe manner and maintain a clean and tidy work area.

    + Read diagrams and schematics to ensure accurate assembly.

    + Ensure the quality of the structure by checking that the product is level and square.

    + Inspect components for damages such as dents and scratches.

    + Use torque wrenches to torque bolts to the required specification.

    + Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with a team.

    + Understand manufacturing information such as front views, bill of materials, drawings, and blueprints.

    + Problem-solve using oral or written instructions to assemble switchboards and panelboards, and proactively identify missing components.

    + Utilize various hand tools to accurately install material by following established procedures.

    + Communicate job progress and identify problem areas or part shortages.

    + Identify opportunities for process improvement and complete root cause analysis for quality or production issues.

    + Be responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before and after assembly, and troubleshoot errors.

    + Assemble copper bussing according to design and check for correct spacing from phase to phase and ground.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to work with concentration, accuracy, and attention to detail.

    + Capability to work independently and cooperatively with others.

    + Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    + Proficiency in multitasking, establishing work priorities, and time management.

    + Experience using a computer and CAD software to open and follow design structures.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + High school diploma or equivalent.

    + Previous experience working as an Assembler in a manufacturing environment.

    + Familiarity with assembly tools and techniques.

    Work Environment

     

    Our facility is brand new, and once at full capacity, will accommodate about 200-250 people on site. The work environment involves a manufacturing floor with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures. Candidates will be required to wear steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and long pants made of thicker material. The role requires standing or walking for long periods and occasionally lifting up to 25–50 lbs. The position involves a rotating shift schedule of 2-2-3 from 6 am to 6 pm. Initial training will be provided during the first week, after which candidates will be assigned to their teams.I

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, MD.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
