    Field Service Technician up to $40/hr + Per Diem

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. This role requires a strong aptitude for electro-mechanical troubleshooting and the ability to travel extensively throughout North America, the Dominican Republic, and Canada.

    Responsibilities

    + Travel 70-80% of the time to various locations for service and installation.

    + Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers to ensure quality service.

    + Complete service and expense reports and manage administrative tasks efficiently.

    + Contribute new ideas, designs, and methods to improve service and operations.

    + Read and understand electrical and pneumatic schematics, or be willing to learn.

    + Apply PLC, machine control, and ladder logic experience in troubleshooting.

    + Utilize advanced troubleshooting techniques, including redesigning machine components and programming changes.

    Essential Skills

    + Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting aptitude.

    + Proven history of strong mechanical experience.

    + Experience with PLCs, machine control, and ladder logic.

    + Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics.

    + Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

    + 2-4 years of field service experience, preferably with high-speed packaging equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Exposure to high-speed packaging machinery and equipment is preferred.

    + Experience with controls and automation is beneficial.

    + Customer-facing experience is advantageous.

    + Ability to work as an in-house machine builder when not traveling.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westerville, OH.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
