Position Overview

Join a collaborative and safety-focused team as a **Bindery Operator** , where you'll be responsible for equipment setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting in a high-tech, climate-controlled printing and bindery facility. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals with experience in press or bindery operations.

Key Responsibilities

+ Review job specifications and prepare materials for setup.

+ Monitor equipment performance and product quality.

+ Troubleshoot equipment and product issues (simple to moderately complex).

+ Communicate effectively during and between shifts.

+ Perform preventative maintenance and evaluate mechanical conditions.

+ Use computer-based workflow systems to manage files.

+ Document activities in systems such as MII and SAP.

+ Perform tasks including feeding, catching off, stacking, bundling, and inventory counts.

+ Participate in safety programs and promote a safe work culture.

+ Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards using standard procedures.

+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and project teams.

+ Provide backup coverage for other operators.

+ Recommend and implement process improvements.

+ Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.

+ Wear required PPE including steel toe shoes and ear protection.

Required Skills & Experience

+ Experience operating press machines, bindery equipment, and general machinery.

+ Strong troubleshooting skills related to printing and press operations.

+ Familiarity with bindery or subscription operations.

+ Preferred experience with companies such as Loften Label, AWT, First Impressions, Genpak, Computype, Smyth, Vomela, Carlson Printing, Proampac, or Graphic Packaging International.

Work Environment

Work in a large industrial printing and bindery shop with a close-knit production crew. The ideal candidate is curious, creative, collaborative, and actively engaged in team success. Safety and efficiency are top priorities in this fast-paced environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Eagan, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $67000.00/yr.
