Job Title: Sanitation Associate
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Associate responsible for ensuring all plant surfaces and equipment are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition throughout the shift. The ideal candidate will adhere to GMP and SSOP protocols and support food safety programs.
Responsibilities
+ Execute GMP and SSOP procedures and secure cleaning chemicals properly.
+ Follow Lock-out/Tag-out and IIPP safety procedures.
+ Maintain sanitation logs and pest control records.
+ Prevent cross-contamination and water damage.
+ Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and trash areas.
+ Lead by example in uniform, hygiene, and safety compliance.
+ Assist in water conservation and equipment preparation.
+ Report equipment malfunctions or missing parts promptly.
Essential Skills
+ Basic Food Handler certification.
+ Knowledge of food processing.
+ Strong communication and teamwork skills.
+ Ability to lift 30–40 lbs and work on feet.
+ Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently.
+ Excellent attendance and customer service mindset.
+ Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working with cleaning equipment and chemicals.
+ Experience in food manufacturing environments.
+ Ability to read and complete sanitation records and cleaning schedules.
+ Adaptability to shift changes and prompt reporting of safety concerns.
+ Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus.

Work Environment
Work in a food manufacturing setting with exposure to various smells, wet floors, and extreme temperatures ranging from 35°F to 85°F. Be prepared for continuous contact with sanitation water up to 150°F, and work near moving mechanical parts. The facility requires wearing GMP PPE, and you will experience frequent vibration and moderate noise.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.25 - $21.50/hr.
