Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
As a 2nd Shift Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to load and unload materials and deliveries, and moving them to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks into trucks or storage facilities.
Responsibilities
+ Obtain a copy of the production schedule or shipping order and transport material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
+ Provide raw or WHIP stock to production machines according to the production schedule.
+ Load and unload goods from vehicles.
+ Move goods packed on pallets or slip sheets around the storage facility.
+ Stack goods in the correct storage bays following inventory control instructions.
+ Stack empty pallets.
+ Remove machine attachments and waste material from machines.
+ Dump materials into machine hoppers.
Essential Skills
+ 6 months to 1 year of forklift operating experience (can be sit down or stand up).
+ Material handling experience.
+ Experience with picking and packing.
+ Proficiency in using an RF scanner.
+ Experience with shipping and unloading.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Ability to lift 10-30 lbs consistently.
+ Ability to stand on feet for 8-10 hours per day.

Work Environment
Work hours are from 2pm to 10pm on the 2nd shift. The facility is equipped with Flexo and corrugated packaging machines and can be noisy. Employees are expected to work 9-hour shifts consistently. The plant is smaller with 50 total employees on the shop floor, fostering a close-knit and collaborative work environment. A shift differential of $1.25 is provided for the 2nd shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Whitewater, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.25 - $19.25/hr.
