    **Shift:** 11am - 7:30pm M-F

    Description

    The Maintenance Mechanic III is a expert-level role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing and packaging equipment in a regulated nutraceutical environment. This position requires advanced mechanical skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to work independently while supporting production goals and safety standards.

     

    + Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on high-speed encapsulation, tableting, and packaging equipment.

    + Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, manuals, and diagnostic tools.

    + Coordinate installation and startup of new equipment, ensuring performance standards are met.

    + Train and guide other mechanics and contractors as needed.

    + Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with SOPs and cGMP guidelines.

    + Support equipment upgrades and process improvements.

    + Collaborate with OEMs for technical support and cost-effective solutions.

    Skills & Qualifications

    1. Advanced Mechanical Troubleshooting

     

    - Ability to diagnose and repair high-speed encapsulation, tableting, and packaging equipment.

     

    - Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.

     

    2. Electrical and PLC Knowledge

     

    - Experience with PLCs, electrical control devices, and instrumentation.

     

    - Ability to interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems.

     

    3. Preventive Maintenance and Documentation

     

    - Skilled in performing and documenting preventive and corrective maintenance.

     

    - Familiarity with cGMP and SOP compliance in regulated environments.

     

    4. Equipment Installation and Process Improvement

     

    - Experience installing, testing, and optimizing new equipment.

     

    - Ability to recommend and implement upgrades or process improvements.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
