    Job Description

    The Production Materials Coordinator will collaborate with various departments to ensure that finished products are efficiently organized and transported within the manufacturing space. This role involves assisting in final assembly and packaging when necessary. It is an intermediate-level position requiring a comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing operations and technical aspects, with limited supervision for routine tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Identify component requirements for production from engineering.

    + Review work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items for movement, gathering, distribution, and shipping.

    + Prepare kits and pallets for final shipment.

    + Assemble products to completion and assist with final packaging.

    + Track delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment as needed.

    + Read and interpret assembly blueprints.

    + Work independently and adhere to schedules.

    + Participate in shop cleanup activities.

    + Communicate with Shop Leads regarding quality and production schedules.

    + Ensure quality standards are met and have the authority to address any quality issues.

    + Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    + Assist coworkers with additional tasks as assigned.

    + Operate within the requirements of an ISO 9001 Quality System.

    + Collaborate with Quality, Environmental, and H&S employees to maintain compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards.

    + Maintain awareness and compliance with environmental and safety policies and regulations.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with SAP.

    + Ability to understand assembly blueprints or diagrams.

    + Mechanical aptitude and proficiency in the physical assembly of parts.

    + Perform various assembly operations using drawings, BOMs, and Work Order Travelers.

    + Use small hand tools such as needle nose pliers, de-soldering tools, tweezers, brushes, screwdrivers, clippers, and wire strippers.

    + Basic computer skills.

    + Good communication skills.

    + Positive attitude.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with cycle counts, data entry, inventory management, and shipping and receiving.

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Charleston, SC.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

    Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job

    classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
