Job Title: Manufacturing Production Associate
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Manufacturing Production Associate to join our production team. This role primarily involves operating a forklift intermittently throughout the day, moving bags of colorant and other materials within the facility, and supporting machine operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working in a physically demanding and powder-heavy setting.
Key Responsibilities
+ Operate a forklift to transport product throughout the facility (on and off throughout the day)
+ Move bags of product to mixers and adjust machinery as needed
+ Lift and load 50 lb bags of product into machines
+ Perform manual tasks such as digging out product and transferring it into boxes
+ Adjust straps on colorant bags and ensure proper machine setup
+ Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in a dusty, powder-filled environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
+ Machine operating experience preferred
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the shift
+ Forklift experience is a plus but not required (training available)
Work Environment & PPE
+ Warehouse/manufacturing facility with exposure to powder and dust
+ PPE provided: steel toe boots, hard hats, safety goggles, ear plugs, masks, and uniforms
+ Must be comfortable working in a "dirty" environment and standing for extended periods
Shift Details
+ 1st shift opportunity
+ Standard hours: 8–9 hours/day
+ Peak season (March–June): 10–12 hours/day
+ Flexibility required based on order volume; shifts may start as early as 5:00 AM
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Ames, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
