Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description
The Machine Operator will ensure that the machining duration aligns with production goals, maintaining efficiency and quality throughout the process.
Responsibilities
+ Operate machinery as per the operating instructions and ensure efficient production processes.
+ Perform machine setups (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
+ Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed) to meet quality and efficiency standards.
+ Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines and ensure continuous supply without interruptions.
+ Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
+ Test the operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running.
+ Maintain activity logs and report on daily production volumes and quality.
+ Troubleshoot problems during machine operation and perform basic repairs and maintenance when necessary.
+ Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.
+ Always adhere to safety guidelines and company regulations.
+ Communicate any machine malfunctions or irregularities to the immediate supervisor for timely resolution.
+ Monitor and manage inventory of materials and parts needed for machine operation.
+ Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes.
+ Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with machine technology and operation techniques.
+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency.
Essential Skills
+ Manufacturing experience
+ Ability to read a tape measure
+ Monitor machine producing equipment
+ Proven experience as a machine operator
+ Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
+ Ability to stand for long hours and perform repetitive tasks
+ Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work overtime
+ Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, tape measure etc.)
+ Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
+ Understanding of production procedures
+ Adherence to health and safety regulations
+ Analytical skills and attention to detail
+ Teamwork and communication skills
+ Ability to follow written and oral instructions
+ Familiarity with control operations and automated equipment
+ Basic computer and mathematical skills
+ Willingness to undergo on-the-job training
+ Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, if required
+ Candidates must possess at least one year of experience in a Machine Shop
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
+ Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a fabrication machine shop
+ Ability to monitor changeovers
+ Follow manufacturer instructions for the operation of machines

Work Environment
Work in a clean and modern facility that is fast-paced and deadline-driven. The work environment includes various shifts: 1st shift from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, 2nd shift from 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM with a $2 shift differential, and 3rd shift from 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM with a $1 shift differential. Initial training is conducted on the 1st shift for a few weeks. Overtime may be available in the future.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $56160.00/yr.
