Job Title: Assembly Operator

Job Description

As an Assembly Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by operating various machinery and ensuring the quality of cable assemblies. You will be responsible for completing job cards, routers, and maintaining records of materials usage. Your role includes monitoring and inspecting assembled parts, performing proof-loading, and packaging materials as per job card instructions.

Responsibilities

+ Complete job cards, routers, and necessary job documentation.

+ Maintain material traceability by recording material usage.

+ Conduct proof-loading of assembled parts.

+ Gather samples for start-up and in-process testing and inspection.

+ Package and label processed materials according to job card instructions.

+ Report part or process quality issues to a supervisor or quality personnel.

+ Ability to use hand tools for cable assembly.

+ Self-motivation and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

+ Excellent attention to detail.

+ Understanding of part workmanship.

+ Data analysis and recommendation skills.

+ Troubleshooting manufacturing defects.

+ Ability to speak, read, and write in English.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Prior manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

+ Exposure to assembly, production, and packaging processes.

Work Environment

The position offers five openings for the first shift, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5:30 pm, with the option for Saturday overtime depending on production needs, from 8 am to 3 pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allendale, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
