    Job Title: Avionics Technician

    Job Description

    Join a leading manufacturer specializing in custom battery systems and battery control electronics for both military and commercial aerospace platforms. Our company is AS9100- and FAA-certified, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.

    Responsibilities

    + Disassemble, inspect, and repair a variety of aerospace electronic assemblies, components, and battery systems manufactured in-house.

    + Isolate failures to the component level using schematics, diagnostic tools, and root cause analysis.

    + Perform repairs involving both surface mount and through-hole components, adhering to IPC and J-STD standards.

    + Replace failed components such as resistors, capacitors, thermistors, relays, and microcontrollers.

    + Conduct functional and acceptance testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, hipot testers, and battery test stands.

    + Perform incoming inspection and initial bench-level screening of returned items.

    + Calibrate workstations and soldering equipment as necessary to ensure proper functionality.

    + Complete all material movement tags, part requisition forms, and inventory-related documentation.

    + Maintain compliance with FAA Part 145 regulations, company policies, and Repair Station Manual procedures.

    + Monitor spare parts inventory and initiate restocking requests when levels are low.

    Essential Skills

    + 5-10 years of experience in electronics troubleshooting and repair, preferably in an FAA-regulated environment.

    + Strong component-level troubleshooting and soldering skills (through-hole and SMT).

    + Familiarity with battery technologies and their failure mechanisms.

    + Ability to read and interpret technical documentation such as CMMs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Tempe, AZ.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $72800.00/yr.
