Job Title: Welder Fitter

Job Description

+ We are seeking a skilled Welder Fitter

+ Our team offers flexible scheduling

+ This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints to perform the initial fit-up of welded assemblies, communicating directly with engineering when necessary, and working with minimal supervision

Job Responsibilities

+ Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, both detail and assembly

+ Perform initial fit-up of welded assemblies using pre-cut steel plates

+ Communicate directly with engineering as required

+ Use forklifts and overhead cranes proficiently

+ Operate overhead cranes up to 50-ton capacity and fork trucks

+ Manually lift 20-25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally

+ Collaborate with AWS certified welders to complete welding tasks

+ Use micrometers and precision measuring instruments

Essential Skills

+ 5 years of blueprint reading experience

+ Experience with 1-inch plate fitting and welding

+ 5 years of Flux Core/MIG welding experience

+ 5 years of fitting experience

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of WATERFORD, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
