    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator with experience in operating band saws and forklifts. The role involves cutting steel and ensuring visual quality control, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate band saws and cut steel according to specifications.

    + Operate a sit-down forklift efficiently.

    + Perform visual quality control checks.

    + Accurately read and measure using a tape measure.

    + Apply metal to customer orders and process material as per work order specifications.

    + Ensure processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition.

    + Maintain the processing area in an orderly manner.

    + Complete all required information entry accurately.

    + Learn to run aluminum saws ranging from 4'-20' long cuts, cutting materials from .019 to 10".

    + Perform additional tasks as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Previous experience using a band saw.

    + Experience operating a sit-down forklift.

    + Ability to read a tape measure.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Ability to work on your feet.

    + Proficiency in paperwork and chain of custody.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong attendance and work history.

    + Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.

    + Ability to learn and adapt to new equipment.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a large raw material supplier facility with over 60 employees on the floor. The environment is fast-paced, with shifts available across various hours, including differential pay for second and third shifts. Dress code and specific shift hours apply

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, WA.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $23.25 - $24.25/hr.
