Job Title: Warehouse Lead/Supervisor

Job Description

The role involves working closely with both the sales team and warehouse staff to ensure client orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. This position requires strong leadership skills to coordinate warehouse operations and communicate effectively with the sales team.

Responsibilities

+ Oversee daily activities of distribution center staff, monitoring performance, and assigning tasks to ensure high productivity and safety compliance.

+ Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

+ Responsible for the maintenance of machinery including pay-out, take-ups, counters, scales, braiders, forklifts, shrink wrap machine, doors, scissor gates, and dock levelers.

+ Perform or supervise daily forklift inspection checklists to ensure functionality and compliance with OSHA requirements.

+ Coordinate with the sales and logistics team to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve operational issues.

+ Collaborate with the Lead Shipper to prioritize daily shipments and ensure orders are dispatched on time and in the correct quantities.

+ Release daily orders from the Sales Department and manage cutting line priorities, notifying relevant departments of order status.

+ Manage waste, scrap, and recycling processes.

+ Ensure supplies are ordered for the shipping, cutting, and braiding departments.

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.

Essential Skills

+ At least 5 years of experience in warehouse supervision or coordination.

+ Ability to physically assist employees in fulfilling orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with inventory management and order pulling.

The work environment is a cable distribution warehouse that involves working between the sales team and warehouse staff. The position includes the use of various machinery and equipment, and employees are expected to maintain a safe and organized workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
