    Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

    Job Description

    The Maintenance Electrician will play a crucial role in maintaining the electrical systems across seven buildings. This role predominantly involves electrical work, with a small portion dedicated to mechanical tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Serve as the primary electrician on site for seven buildings.

    + Perform 90% of job duties related to electrical tasks and 10% to mechanical tasks.

    + Work off word orders and a preventive maintenance schedule.

    + Input work orders for equipment issues and perform necessary repairs.

    + Troubleshoot PLCs and perform related diagnostic tasks.

    + Examine parts and assemblies for dimensional changes or imperfections.

    + Dismantle equipment to access and repair damaged or worn parts.

    + Repair or replace worn or defective parts and adjust for optimal performance.

    + Test equipment performance to ensure proper functionality.

    + Install power wiring and conduit for new equipment, ensuring proper connections and testing.

    + Diagnose and repair failed electrical equipment, such as motors, wiring, PLCs, I/O modules, and power supplies.

    + Utilize meters and electrical test equipment for troubleshooting.

    + Troubleshoot and program AC and DC drive systems.

    + Align motors according to manufacturer specifications.

    + Replace faulty components, such as boards and cables, and manage requisition paperwork.

    + Adhere to lockout/tagout procedures for safety.

    + Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic components.

    + Create finished metal products from sheet piping or structural steel using tools such as metal shear, bender, band saw, and plasma cutter.

    Essential Skills

    + GED or high school diploma.

    + 8 years of industrial maintenance experience.

    + Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

    + 480v and 240v 3-phase troubleshooting.

    + PLC and motor control troubleshooting.

    + Experience in repairing and replacing electrical equipment, including motors, wiring, and PLCs.

    + Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.

    + Experience with MIG/stick welding and robotics.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Knowledge of MIG/stick welding.

    + Ability to use metal shear, bender, band saw, and plasma cutter.

    + Experience with robotics.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is non-climate controlled. The position is for the first shift, running from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. There is a requirement to be open to working on Saturdays or being called in, with the potential for overtime pay. Call-in work is compensated at 1.5 times the usual rate for at least two hours, even if the actual time worked is less.

    The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $76960.00/yr.

     

    They start earning PTO after 90 days and will get two weeks vacation after 1 year. Benefits go in effect the following month they start.
