Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

The individual will be responsible for unloading trucks by hand and sorting products according to their designated locations. This involves de-palletizing, breaking down, and separating materials. A pallet jack will be used to place items in designated storage spots within the warehouse. Additionally, the role requires some cleaning up in the morning after loaders have completed their tasks. Temperature checks of products will be conducted to ensure they are accurately stored, particularly when dealing with food items to prevent spoilage. The role also involves palletizing for forklift movement and shrink-wrapping, as well as attaching expiration date labels.

Responsibilities

+ Unload trucks by hand and sort products by location.

+ De-palletize and separate materials based on location.

+ Use a pallet jack to place items in designated storage spots.

+ Perform morning clean-up after loaders.

+ Check temperatures of products to ensure accurate storage.

+ Handle food items to prevent spoilage.

+ Palletize and shrink-wrap items for forklift movement.

+ Attach expiration date labels to products.

Essential Skills

+ Experience working in a warehouse environment unloading containers.

+ Motivated, hardworking, and willing to learn.

+ Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal instructions.

+ Ability to move and lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Open to entry-level candidates.

+ Experience with warehouse operations such as unloading, picking, pallet breakdown, plastic wrapping, loading, and unloading.

+ Familiarity with heavy lifting, forklifts, packing, packaging, RF scanners, material handling, order picking, and palletizing.

Work Environment

The work environment is a warehouse setting with both dry and freezer areas, similar to a smaller version of a Costco setup. Steel-toed boots are required. The shift hours are from 11 AM to 8 PM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brisbane, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
