Job Title: Manufacturing Supervisor
Supervise a team of 5–15 technicians operating production equipment and executing processes across multiple shifts. Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols while fostering a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
+ Monitor and optimize equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and escalate as needed to engineering or maintenance.
+ Drive daily stand-up meetings, shift handoffs, and communication flow between teams.
+ Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation.
+ Mentor and evaluate technicians; foster a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and teamwork.
+ Partner with HR and operations leadership to hire, train, and onboard new technicians as the team expands.
+ Track and report on key metrics such as yield, downtime, scrap, throughput, and labor efficiency.
+ Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing practices and root cause analysis.
+ Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to support new process introductions, equipment qualification, and scaling to higher volumes.
Essential Skills
+ 7+ years of experience in production, manufacturing, or operations in high-tech industries (automotive, battery, semiconductors, electronics, or similar).
+ Prior experience supervising or leading teams of technicians/operators in a multi-shift environment.
+ Excellent communication skills—able to clearly articulate expectations, deliver feedback, and bridge information across functions.
+ Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and safety practices.
+ Ability to interpret process documentation, engineering specifications, and quality standards.
+ Demonstrated success in developing teams: coaching, mentoring, and proficiency in problem-solving tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA, root cause analysis).
+ Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) strongly preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Emeryville, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.
