Description

Robert Half Lexington is looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to join our team in Georgetown, Kentucky. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth coordination of logistics operations, including dispatching and managing freight activities. This role requires flexibility to work second shift hours, as well as occasional overtime on weekends. This is for a 2nd shift opening Mon-Fri 4p-12a. Apply to be considered!

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and manage dispatching activities to ensure timely transportation of goods.

• Input and maintain accurate logistics data in company systems.

• Communicate effectively with freight carriers to arrange shipments and resolve any issues.

• Provide exceptional customer service in a call center environment, addressing logistics-related inquiries.

• Monitor shipping and receiving processes to ensure compliance with company standards.

• Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize distribution strategies.

• Handle documentation and records related to freight and shipments.

• Identify and address any discrepancies in shipping or receiving processes.

• Support logistics operations with a focus on efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements • Previous experience in dispatching and logistics operations.

• Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate records.

• Strong communication skills, especially in customer service roles.

• Familiarity with freight carriers and transportation processes.

• Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.

• Ability to work second shift hours with flexibility for weekend overtime.

• Experience in logistics and distribution environments.
