Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In this role, you will handle a mix of accounting tasks and administrative duties, supporting the efficient operation of a renewable energy-focused office. Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

• Match contractor invoices to estimates, ensuring all documentation aligns properly.

• Conduct collections for outstanding receivables, focusing on large-dollar amounts.

• Utilize QuickBooks for data entry and invoice processing tasks.

• Assist with occasional contractor-related administrative tasks.

• Coordinate office supply orders and maintain inventory levels.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely completion.

• Collaborate with the AR Supervisor and staff to streamline accounting operations.

• Provide general administrative support to the office as needed.

• Maintain organized records and uphold compliance with financial procedures. Requirements • Experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.

• Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail.

• Previous experience in invoice processing and matching.

• Ability to manage collections with professionalism and persistence.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
