    Description

    Our client, located in NWI, is looking to hire a Controller with manufacturing experience. This role is with a growing company and offers a competitive salary and great benefits.

    Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

    • Help to manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.

    • Support all managers during the monthly and annual accounting close process

    • Coordinate and direct the preparation of all budgets and financial forecasts.

    • Monitor financial reports and determine cost saving opportunities.

    • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements as well as tax filings and requirements.

    • Negotiate and coordinate with vendors

    • Monitor customer credit insurance, property insurance, and other applicable business insurances.

    • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies.

     

    QUALIFICATONS AND SKILLS • Proficiency and overall ability to use technology within the department and in production to create efficiencies and improvements. • Must have previous ERP or MIS system experience. • Must have experience managing accounting functions in a manufacturing environment. • Must have attention to detail, sense of urgency, be self-directed and display strong organizational skills. • Must be able to communicate and work well with others. • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. • 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required.
