• Payroll Clerk (Part-Time)

    Description

    We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our clients team in Omaha, Nebraska. This part-time position is perfect for someone seeking flexible hours, with work scheduled from Tuesday through Thursday. As an integral member of our team, you will manage payroll processes and ensure accurate and compliant recordkeeping for both office and field employees.

    Responsibilities:

    • Process weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

    • Review and verify employee timecards, addressing and resolving any discrepancies.

    • Maintain organized payroll records and employee files to support compliance and reporting.

    • Assist new hires with onboarding and payroll setup, providing guidance as needed.

    • Respond promptly to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and timekeeping matters.

    • Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance.

    • Collaborate with HR and accounting teams to streamline payroll operations.

    • Handle sensitive payroll information with confidentiality and professionalism.

     

    Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in payroll processing, with preference for construction industry experience.

     

    • Proficiency in payroll software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.

    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

    • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality.

    • Effective communication and problem-solving skills to address payroll and employee concerns.

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.

    • Familiarity with managing payroll for garnishments and mid-sized employee groups (101-500 employees).
